The Committee and membership of the Stirling Philatelic Society are saddened by the passing of George Strickland.

George was an avid stamp collector and member for more than 30 years. He was Exchange Secretary from 2001 to 2010, President from 2010 to 2013 and continued on the Committee for a further three years. It was through George we were able to secure our present club rooms, and he was a motivating force in expanding our Society to include a daytime meeting.

It was a privilege to have shared friendship and philately with George, and we extend our sincerest condolences to Helen and family. George and his family requested a private funeral.
